Frequently asked questions

Is Life in Weeks free? +

Yes. It is completely free, with no signup and no limits. You can download your poster as many times as you like.

Do you store my birthdate? +

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Your birthdate is only kept in your browser's local storage and, if you choose to share, encoded in the link you copy. It is never sent to a server.

What does each square mean? +

Each square is one week of your life. Filled squares are weeks you have already lived, the highlighted square is the week you are in now, and the faint squares are the weeks ahead, up to your chosen lifespan.

Why 90 years? +

Ninety years is a common reference for a long human life, so the grid fits on one screen and one page. You can change the lifespan from 70 to 100 years with the slider.

Can I print it or use it as a poster? +

Yes. Download the high-resolution PNG and print it, set it as wallpaper, or frame it. It is designed to look good as a keepsake.

Is this meant to be morbid? +

No. It is meant to be reflective. Seeing your time as a finite grid is a gentle reminder to spend your weeks on what matters to you.
